Master Paul Beard is a former junior national and senior national Canadian champion that started a Taekwondo program while he was competing. For the first eight years of the program Master Beard was a competitor, Instructor and coach simultaneously. After deciding to focus on teaching and coaching instead of competing, Master Beard immediately began to coach at an international level.
Beards Taekwondo started over fifteen years ago as a hobby teaching within a workout gym. It remained in that facility for over 12 years until being moved into the facility it is today. Throughout the years he has helped numerous people achieve their 1st degree black belt and has even had senior students achieve their 3rd and 4th degrees
Master Beard was taught at Young Choung Taekwondo Academy in Toronto. Trained by Grand Master Young Su Choung. Amongst some of Grand Master Choung achievements he was the Canadian national team and Olympic Team coach. Grand Master Choung has produced 8 Olympians and 9 Canadian National team coaches.
